Our Family Farm

Hi there, we’re the Elzners! We began keeping bees in 2015 and quickly fell in love with these tiny winged creatures. What began as a weekend hobby on the family ranch has blossomed into a full time job creating much adventure for us in East Texas.

Isaac has a degree in botany from Texas State and naturally loves to plant pollinator friendly flora among his garden, and Meagan is very active in the bee communities across Texas as she shares her passion for honeybees with other beekeepers.

About our bees… We keep our bees in East Texas year round so they can forage on all of the local wildflowers and pollinate the native blooms. Our genetics are Italian based, chosen from the best of our best hives here at Elzner Farms®, our queens are so loved we even got them their own Trademark! They are bred to thrive here in Texas. We have made the decision not to migrate with our hives, we keep the bees in areas with plenty of wild forage so they are not subjected to the pesticides and herbicides of monocrops.
